Q How often do I need to clean my greenhouse?
A Once a year should be sufficient. Cleaning the glass will help more light to reach the plants so they grow well, especially if you've used shading paint to keep the greenhouse cool in the summer. Cleaning between the panes and scrubbing the staging will remove hidden pests and reduce problems the following season.

Q When's a good time to clean the greenhouse?
A Autumn and winter are good times to tackle this job as most plants won't be actively growing and the greenhouse is often relatively empty.
Q How should I clean the greenhouse?
A Any shading paint is best wiped off the glass. Then the glass can either be scrubbed with a brush and a bucket of water, or blasted clean with a pressure washer. If you can't get between the panes where moss and algae often grows, try using an old plastic credit card to scrape between them. Staging, pots and trays can be scrubbed using a mild household detergent in the water. Old bags of compost are best used as a mulch outside as they deteriorate with age. Any dead or diseased plant material should be disposed of.
